OST
On-Screen Tuning, available exclusively for Patriot Bullet and Command Center tuning devices, is a powerful tool for Patriot users who install aftermarket hardware on their vehicles, such as upgraded air intakes, turbochargers, injectors, fuel pumps, performance transmissions, and much more. At the touch of a button, your Patriot tuning device can modify Patriot’s base tuning calibrations to work specifically with the hardware you have chosen for your truck. No waiting for custom tunes. No need to use cumbersome or confusing PC-based editors not designed for the end user.
Simply select the hardware you’ve installed on your truck- intake, turbocharger, injection pump, injector nozzles, etc, along with user specific preferences such as shift firmness and desired pedal response, and load a custom-tailored ECM and TCM calibration in minutes. No need to have tuning skills, as we’ve made the selections incredibly easy to navigate. OST supports hundreds of hardware combinations from top Powerstroke performance parts suppliers, such as River City Diesel, Absolute Performance, No Limit Performance, Rudy’s Diesel, Midwest, and many others.
Any time you make a further modification to your vehicle, simply re-load your Patriot tuning with the new, relevant options selected.
For skilled users, advanced menu options are available. Parameters such as specific shift and lockup schedule modifications, specific shift firmness adjustments, smoke limiting, advanced injector nozzle sizing calibration and many, many, more options are available right at your fingertips on our device, all without having to break out a laptop.

FAQ
YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
- What if I don’t feel comfortable with, or desire to use OST on my modified truck?
OST is designed from the ground-up to be user friendly, and require no prior tuning experience to use. Safety margins are built-in and limits are in place to aid in mechanical safety. However, if you simply decide you don’t wish to use it, we have custom tuning services available as well, so don’t feel pressured!
- What is OST, and what does it do?
OST stands for On-Screen Tuning, software installed onto your Patriot device allowing you to make easy but powerful changes to your calibrations, for purposes of tweaking a calibration to your liking, or adjusting for aftermarket hardware such as upgraded turbochargers, injection pumps, and fuel injectors. By combining the same defined maps we use when developing custom tunes, and integrating those maps into user-selectable menus, a custom calibration can be built right on your device’s screen. No tuning knowledge is required. This powerful tool will allow you to adjust shift scheduling, shift firmness, low boost fueling, turbocharger selections and dozens of other parameters. - How does Patriot Shift-on-the-Fly work?
Patriot SOTF functions by plugging our power switch (mounted to your dash) into a sensor port under the hood. For 6.4L applications, the cable is plugged into the IAT2 sensor harness connector near your air intake. For 6.7L applications, the cable is plugged into the CACT sensor harness connector mounted to the cold side charge air cooler tube. Installation is simple, and only requires installing the dash-mounted switch and plugging in the connector. Once installed, power changes for any year model of truck are instant and at your fingertips.
- Does a Patriot device save my stock calibration to return to my truck to OEM configuration?
Yes. 6.4L tuning applications are read and saved directly from your vehicle. 6.7L applications are pre-programmed with the necessary stock files for your truck. You may return your truck to stock at any time.
- How long does it take to download or change a Patriot calibration (changing HP level)?
6.4L applications require approximately 32 minutes. 2011/2012MY 19 minutes, 2013 to 2016 11 minutes and 2017 9 minutes, respectively. If equipped with Shift-on-the-Fly, power level changes are instantaneous.
- Must my Command Center/Bullet stay plugged in?
No, it is not mandatory to keep the device plugged in and mounted. Many customers choose to place the device in a console or glove compartment. We do recommend mounting for monitoring use on higher HP calibrations, or while towing.
- Is it safe to add significant power with Patriot calibrations?
Our extensive background and knowledge of the Powerstroke diesel allows us to push the mechanical limits of the engine safely.
- Can I log specific parameters to share with Patriot for custom tuning or diagnosing a problem?
Yes. Any viewable parameters can be monitored and stored to the on-board memory (SD for Command Center, microSD for Bullet) and sent to us.
- Do your Command Center/Bullet devices include datalogging and diagnostic capabilities?
Absolutely. Both devices are equipped with complete OBD and Ford-Specific diagnostic monitoring capabilities. Reading codes, clearing codes, and parameter monitoring is ready to go, right out of the box. Select the year model range of your truck during initial device setup, and your device will be pre-programmed to the most useful monitoring parameters. Of course, you can change these any time.
